Doll 1740 – 1750

This doll known as ‘Nancy Dawkins’ was given to the museum in 1946. Her body is made of wood and her arms are made of kid leather. She has even got human hair! It is not certain whether she was a fashion or a play doll.

Nancy was conserved in 2006 thanks to a grant from the Pilgrim Trust and funding from Mr. D King.
