Drop in and join us for crafts this February half term inspired by all things Tudor. Make a tussie mussie bouquet, design a fashionable Tudor ruff and more!

Hertford Museum are delighted to announce that an anonymous donation has been made to us to provide financial support allowing children of low income families to take up FREE spaces on our school holiday activity programme.

    • We have 65 FREE places available for our drop in activities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
    • We have 8 FREE places on our bookable workshops. (Workshops book up quickly so we advise booking fast)
    • Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
    • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sessions cannot be booked in advance.
    • Proof of low income in the form of a benefits letter or tax credits award letter must be shown at the time of booking sessions or upon arrival at drop in sessions.

    Drop in and take part in crafts inspired by our fabulous knot garden and natural history collection. Different activities each week!

    Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just a beginner bring your projects along to Hertford Museum. This is a chance to share ideas and patterns in a comfortable setting over a cup of tea of coffee.

    Saturdays: 7th January, 4th February, 4th March, 1st April (10.30am- 4.30pm)

    On the first Saturday of each month, The Andrews Room at Hertford Museum will be open for families to enjoy a free play session. Come along and play with traditional wooden toys, make something crafty and read a book. Whilst you are here why not use the discovery station toys to explore the galleries too?

    All walks begin at 11am. Booking is essential, please contact the museum on 01992 582686 or hertfordmuseum@btconnect.com to secure your place(s). All walks will start from Hertford Museum unless stated otherwise.

    Due to lack of donations on our previous walks, there is now a small charge to take part; this has to be paid when booking your place, either in person at the museum or by credit/debit card over the telephone. £2.00 per person.

    Friends of Hertford Museum programme

    Friends of Hertford Museum talks - free to members, £2 for non member (payable on the door). All welcome.
